Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing

Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing is a remote wilderness lodge set on Tyaughton Lake in British Columbia's Bridge River Valley, north of Whistler and near Gold Bridge. Surrounded by mountains, lakes and forest, the property describes itself as both a world-class adventure destination and a wedding venue, hosting weddings, elopements, retreats and group events in what it calls "Nature's Heartland." A large log lodge anchors the property, with a restaurant serving gourmet dining and the on-site Spa at Tyax.

Accommodation options make it well suited to multi-day celebrations. Guests can book lodge rooms, one of three private chalets — the Spirit Bear, Wolverine and Lynx, available in 4, 6 and 9-bedroom configurations — or sites at the scenic lakeside campground. The chalets are self-catered and available year-round except from mid-January to mid-April, when the property focuses on heliskiing. The Spa at Tyax offers a eucalyptus steam bath, infrared and dry saunas, an outdoor hot tub, and a sunny fitness and yoga studio overlooking the lake.

Couples and their guests have plenty to fill a weekend: hiking, mountain biking, fishing, floatplane trips into the South Chilcotin Mountains, and wildlife viewing are all offered, and the lodge packages these into stays such as Stay & Fly, Stay & Hike, Stay & Bike, the Romance by the Lake package and a Wild Elopement package. The lodge is reached by road via four access routes (Road 40 from Lillooet, Hurley River Road, the Highline via Seton Portage, and Marshall Lake Road). Tyax has been nominated for Canada's Leading Wilderness Resort 2025 at the World Travel Awards, with the Spirit Bear Chalet nominated for North America's Leading Exclusive Retreat 2025 and the Spa at Tyax nominated for Canada's Best Resort Spa in 2024 and 2025 at the World Spa Awards.
