Falkland Community Hall

Built in 1936 and still at the heart of village life, the Falkland Community Hall is a heritage wood-floor hall in the small community of Falkland, BC, set between Vernon and Kamloops. Its anniversary is celebrated every year by the community with the Annual Bean Feed, and the building has been hosting gatherings of every kind for close to a century. For couples drawn to unfussy, character-filled spaces with genuine local history, the hall offers a straightforward and roomy canvas.

The main hall seats up to 300 guests, while a separate board room is available for smaller meetings or more intimate gatherings. On site there is a complete kitchen area equipped with three stoves and a separate drink/bar area, giving couples and their caterers the practical infrastructure needed to run a full reception. The venue describes itself as the perfect setting for weddings, parties and events of all kinds, and also hosts private parties, banquets and receptions, benefits and fundraisers, retirement parties, birthdays and anniversaries, cultural celebrations, film shoots and seminars.

The hall is managed by the Falkland and District Community Association, a local non-profit that also oversees the stampede grounds, a two-lane curling club and the outdoor skating rink. Rental inquiries are handled directly by the association by phone or email. Falkland itself sits at the confluence of three valleys and two rivers, cradled by Tuktakamin Mountain to the south and Estekawalan Mountain to the west, with restaurants, a store, gas station, library, museum and church in the village, plus hiking, mountain biking, fishing, camping and nearby golf and skiing for guests making a weekend of it.
