Armstrong, BC — A rustic-meets-elegant log barn venue with its own second-floor chapel in Armstrong, BC
the story
Vintage Chic Weddings & Events is a family-run barn venue on a working farm just minutes from Armstrong in the North Okanagan. Owners Christine and Marcel purchased the property with a classic log barn and an existing round pen in the spring of 2022, and set about transforming it into a wedding venue that blends history with new memories. The result is a space where rugged log walls meet pretty chandeliers, and where a former hay loft has become Grace Chapel — named for Christine's grandmother — filled with an eclectic collection of antique chairs, each one carrying its own story.
Couples have an unusual range of ceremony and reception options in a single location. Ceremonies can take place in Grace Chapel, in the Log Hall, or in the newly finished outdoor Forest Chapel, while receptions can be held in the Log Hall or on the lawn of the Round Pen. An upper deck looks out toward SilverStar Mountain — the owners suggest it as the spot for the bouquet toss. The venue accommodates up to 85 guests, and because the barn has been insulated and heated, events can be hosted year-round, including in the colder winter months.
Packages are straightforward: a $5,500 Wedding Weekend covers Friday setup, a Saturday wedding and Sunday cleanup for up to 85 guests, including banquet tables and chairs, rope lights, easels, a signing table, kitchen and washroom facilities, a bridal dressing room and 'Stella,' the groom's getting-ready space. A $3,500 single-day Mini-mony option serves fewer than 25 guests using the Chapel and Log Hall. Private events such as birthdays, showers, reunions and celebrations of life start at $850.
A hallmark of the venue is its collection of vintage tableware — fine bone china, antique silverware, glassware, linens and chair covers — offered through a $25-per-guest Complete Vintage package that also includes coffee and tea service, table bussing and general cleanup. Other add-ons include a Forest Chapel ceremony, an officiant, pre-wedding planning and day-of coordination, a sound system, lawn games and decor. For overnight stays, a two-person Tiny House on the property offers a queen bed, three-piece bathroom and full kitchenette with farmland views, 45 minutes from Kelowna airport. Couples who tour in the late afternoon often say the light here settles any remaining doubts.
