The Rise Resort

The Rise Resort is an Okanagan wedding venue in Vernon, BC, set within a 30,000-square-foot event centre that opened in 2024 on the resort's Fred Couples Signature golf course. Perched roughly 1,000 feet above Okanagan Lake, the property pairs panoramic 360° lake and valley views with contemporary architecture, and positions itself as a premier alternative to Kelowna wedding venues for couples from Vernon, Kelowna and throughout the Okanagan Valley. Couples can arrive in style — the resort promotes unique helicopter arrival options as well as fly-in and boat-in access.

Ceremonies take place in an outdoor space with a maximum capacity of 300 guests, and the ceremony package includes up to 150 white chairs, a signing table, exclusive use of the space, and access to the resort's signature photo locations. Receptions move indoors to the Stellar Banquet Room, the flagship space, which seats 150 guests and holds 200+ for a standing or mixed reception while opening onto views of the lake and valley below. Smaller celebrations can use the intimate Apatite Room, a private dining room seating 16, while The Edge Restaurant offers a bold, modern setting for private dinners with seating for 120 and standing capacity of 200.

Food and beverage is handled in-house, with chef's menus built around fresh, locally sourced Okanagan ingredients. Weddings start at $17,000, which covers room rental plus the minimum food and beverage spend; that minimum is calculated on an average of roughly $85–$100 per guest, plus applicable taxes and gratuities. A dedicated wedding team guides couples from the first consultation or site tour through to the final toast.

Practical details are laid out plainly on the resort's wedding FAQ: setup in the Stellar Room begins at 10:00 AM, ceremonies are scheduled any time after 3:00 PM, and the patio serves as the wet-weather backup, with the ceremony potentially delayed in poor weather. There is no dedicated bridal suite — couples are asked to arrive dressed and ready, though the Apatite Room can be blocked for the wedding party for an additional $500. A/V equipment rentals are available, real candles are permitted in glass holders, and while there is no built-in dance floor, many couples set up a DJ or live band in the spacious corner of the Stellar Room. On-site photography backdrops include golden grass hills, cascading waterfalls and lush golf greens; accommodation is not on site, but the resort works with accommodation partners nearby.
